The Sphinx guarding the secrets of the world, her gaze demanding you to ask yourself, “what are you really looking for?”

The vase the sphinx is holding is a photogrammetry scan of a supposed actual dynastic/pre-dynastic Egyptian vase. This along with a few other vessels have become a controversial topic as to how they were made because of how “perfect” they seem, and how hard it would have been to make based on the tools we think the ancient Egyptians were known to use. They’re made out of extremely hard stone and almost perfectly precise (the top being parallel with the bottom/perpendicular with the center line, how circular it is throughout etc.. within thousandths of an inch) , which has led some to believe they had some advanced technology we’ve completely lost, while others make the case that it was perfectly doable with primitive tools, but took a craftsmanship/skill level that we may have also lost.

Regardless, it holds a level of mystery that makes me wonder so deeply about our ancient past and how we lived, what secrets we held that have been lost to time, hoping maybe the sphinx knows something…
